Can We Continue To Take Our Beaches For Granted?

We all love going to the beach… yet, in so many places around the world people are noticing that coasts are eroded gradually. Why and what can be done about it?

The increase in sea level temperature generates greater waves than previously and carries a greater load of energy onto the beaches, increasing their erosion capacity.

This impacts not only us “beach goers”, but more importantly, hotel and other property owners, who are facing economic consequences, and economic challenges to maintain the beaches.

The great news is that the process is reversible. The even greater news is that there is no need to fight nor try to control nature. On the contrary: when things are done correctly – nature is part of the solution.
